Jaw-dropping new Trump approval ratings shows what the US really thinks of him 10 months into presidency #9

Donald Trump’s latest approval numbers are providing a startling look at how voters are evaluating his presidency.

It has now been ten months since Trump returned to the Oval Office for his second term as the 47th President of the United States, and according to new data, most Americans aren’t pleased with how things are going.

A recent poll from Marquette University already shared that voters are currently viewing Barack Obama more favorably compared to other former presidents. But the newest CNN/SSRS survey piblished on November 3 may h:it even harder for Trump.

The survey shows his approval rating has dropped to just 37%, marking one of the lowest points of his presidency. Back in January, as his second term began, his approval hovered around 47%. By late October, disapproval surged to 63%, nearly matching his record low right after the January 2021 Capitol riot.

When asked about the country’s overall direction, 68% of participants said things are going “pretty or very badly.” Only 4% felt the situation was going “very well.”

The poll comes as the federal government faces what could become the longest shutdown in U.S. history, and economic strain is the main issue on voters’ minds. Nearly half of respondents (47%) identified the economy and cost of living as their top concern, while 26% pointed to the state of American democracy.

A strong majority – 72% – described current economic conditions as “poor.” Moreover, 61% said Trump’s policies have made the economy worse, compared to 27% who believe he has improved it. By comparison, 55% said Biden made the economy worse, and only 28% said the same of Obama.

As the country moves closer to the midterm elections next year, 41% of surveyed voters say they would vote for a candidate opposing Trump, while only 21% say they’d support one backing him.
