Melania Trump’s outfit choice when meeting Kate Middleton and Prince William has everyone saying the same thing #5

As the only political figure to receive two state visits from the British monarchy, Donald Trump has arrived at Windsor Castle.

However, it appears that one element of their appearance has raised eyebrows for a fashion-related reason.

Just moments ago, the US president and his wife, Melania Trump, were welcomed to the royal palace by Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales.

After arriving in the UK on Tuesday morning (16 September) in Air Force One, the pair circled the perimeter for a few minutes before landing in their Marine One helicopter. Warren Stephens, the US ambassador to the UK, met the Trumps there for the first time.

William and Kate then accompanied the newlyweds in a carriage parade through the Windsor estate from the site’s gardens to the palace, accompanied by King Charles III and Queen Camilla. PA claims that British military personnel are lining the route.

By the sounds of social media reaction, however, many users have been blown away by one aspect of the couple’s get-up – Melania’s almighty hat.

Opting for a charcoal grey two-piece suit, the mother-of-one paired the look with a wide-brimmed hat.

“Melania has deployed the big hat,” one user on Twitter in response.

Another commented: “I’m sure that I saw Melania’s hat on sale yesterday in the John Lewis lighting department.”

“Melania’s wearing one of those hats!” a third said.

The King and Queen, who were earlier pictured standing at the palace’s windows in preparation, will greet Trump, 79, and Melania, 55, when they enter the castle.

After palace officials acknowledged yesterday that Camilla, 78, had been afflicted with acute sinusitis, her attendance was originally questioned. Fortunately, though, it has already been confirmed that she will be present to greet Trump.

The late Queen Elizabeth II hosted the Republican leader during his previous trip to the UK in 2019.

The British queen will welcome the Trumps to examine the guard of honor while they are in the country this week. After a state lunch, Charles and Camilla will take the president to see many US-related artifacts from the Royal Collection.

Later in the day, Trump will lay a wreath upon the tomb of the late Queen.

In the evening, the chapel choir will perform a musical, and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will join the ensemble.

After that, they will withdraw for another state luncheon after attending a Beating withdraw ceremony on the lawn that will feature a military flypast.

It is predicted that heavy conversations will be had between the group in the coming hours.

Lord Kim Darroch – who previously considered as the UK’s ambassador to the States – told Sky News of these talks, a lot of which will likely centre on economic and world politics: “Security is tightly bound with America. So, this is a real opportunity to submit to those links to make the best of it.”

Darroch added: “First of all, [there are] difficult discussions potentially on Ukraine, because the American proposal seems to be: if we Europeans want America to put more pressure on Putin, we need to be prepared to levy heavy tariffs on China and India over their oil purchases from Russia.
