James Van Der Beek is a beloved actor, best known for his portrayal of Dawson Leery in the hit television show ‘Dawson’s Creek.’ The actor made his way into the hearts of millions of Americans and people around the globe with his earnest portrayal of Dawson.

He has been spending a lot of time with his family these days, posting pictures and videos of his wife and children, enjoying his role of a family man to the greatest extent.

You might remember James Van Der Beek from the hit show Dawson’s Creek in which he starred alongside Katie Holmes. The actor is keeping his loved ones close as he announces that he is battling cancer. The Dawson’s Creek actor was recently spotted in Austin after he revealed his battle to the world, doing a grocery run with his family.

The actor visited Whole Foods in Texas with several of his children. Even while he battles cancer, he makes sure to show up as a dad for his kids.

James revealed his struggle to the public a week ago. He posted on social media about his colorectal cancer diagnosis. He is currently receiving treatment for it and says he has “reason for optimism” and has been “feeling good.”

The actor shared with his followers, “I’ve been dealing with this privately until now, getting treatment and dialing in my overall health with greater focus than ever before. I’m in a good place and feeling strong. It’s been quite the initiation, and I’ll tell you more when I’m ready.”

It is nice to see James out and about with his little family. In the pictures, he is holding his head high and wearing a camo-inspired outfit with a baseball cap, cut-off t-shirt and shorts. The actor is holding hands with one of his kids while he also carries a big paper bag for the other one.

Van Der Beek is father to six children, Olivia, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn and Joshua and Jeremiah with his wife Kimberly.
