Prince Andrew book removes claim about Melania Trump and Jeffrey Epstein after Hunter Biden threatened with $1 billion lawsuit #6

The book included a claim that the First Lady’ and her lawyers have firmly denied

A book about Prince Andrew has made a crucial change following Melania Trump’s lawsuit threat against Hunter Biden.

Andrew Lowine’s book on the Duke of York, which is named ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’, was released on August 14, with a chapter focusing on his relationship with the late convicted s.3.x offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

A claim included in the first 60,000 copies of the book alleged that Epstein was the person who introduced President Donald Trump to Melania.

This allegation was recently reiterated by Hunter Biden, who said to filmmaker Andrew Callaghan on Channel 5: “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump – the connections are so wide and deep.”

Following this, Melania Trump’s legal team issued a letter to Biden, demanding that he retract the ‘false, disparaging, defamatory and inflammatory’ statement and apologize.

If not, then he’d be faced with a $1 billion lawsuit.

Biden and President Trump both have responded to the lawsuit threat, with Biden issuing a brutal 7-word response.

In the meantime, Trump revealed that he’d encouraged his wife to pursue the lawsuit, saying: “I told her, ‘Let’s go ahead and do it’.”

Both Trump and his wife have said they first met when being introduced to each other by modelling agent, Paolo Zampolli, in 1998 at a New York Fashion Week party.

And now, Lowine’s book will also retract the claim, with a HarperCollins UK spokesperson saying (via The Independent): “We can confirm that several passages from Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by Andrew Lownie have been removed in consultation with the author. Entitled is published in the UK by HarperCollins. In the US the book is self-published by Mr Lownie.”

It has also been reported that these changes will appear in future editions of the book, while it will remain in the first 60,000 books already published.

In the letter sent by Melania Trump’s legal team, they note that the claim Biden reiterated was partially attributed to Michael Wolff, who’d previously claimed in a since-deleted Daily Beast article that the former model was ‘known’ to an associate of Epstein.

The Daily Beast soon retracted the story after being contacted by Trump’s legal team.

The archived version of the story includes this correction: “After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article. After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding.”

Additionally, Democratic strategist James Carville was forced to take down parts of a podcast interview, which included allegations of a connection between Mrs Trump and Epstein, after her legal team got involved.

A spokesperson for the First Lady had previously told The Independent: “First Lady Melania Trump’s attorneys are actively ensuring immediate retractions and apologies by those who spread malicious, defamatory falsehoods. The true account of how the First Lady met President Trump is in her best-selling book, Melania.”
